Situation ❝Honestly, when I saw the body I didn't think it was my brother.❞
Nobuyasu Nuibe was 15 years old at the time of the atomic bombing.
When the atomic bomb was dropped,he was at a factory in Minami-kan-on-machi where he had been mobilized.
At first he was headed for his home in the city center.
But heavy fire blocked his way and forced him to walk back home along the railroad tracks.
He clearly remembers the miserable people he saw and their cries for help.
When he got home, his younger brother had not yet returned from school.
The whole family began searching for him on the next day, Aug. 7.
On Aug. 8, they found the brother's body on the bank of the Honkawa River.
The loss of his brother has casted a big blight over his family.
Mr. Nuibe says he wants many people to know graphic details of the bombing.
