| Situation | Ms. Ushio was exposed to the A-bombing at her home at Daiya-cho, about 1.5 km away from the hypocenter. Although she was a student of the Hiroshima Communications Training School, she was at home that day, as they gave her a day off. When she finished breakfast and put the chopsticks on the table, she was blown away and lost her consciousness. Her younger sister’s voice woke her up, and she evacuated with her, her elder sister in her 8th months of pregnancy, and her mother. She hopes for a world without war. She wishes that everyone stops thinking of starting any wars. |
