Situation |
Experienced the atomic bombing when going to work as a mobilized student with a friend. He expresses the moment when they were exposed to the flash of light as a ‘crackling’ sound. Avoiding the raging fires in the city, he stopped at Futabayama on his way home and from there could see Hiroshima Station burning down in the roaring fires.
He saw the B29 circling over Hiroshima to drop the atomic bomb, and was then exposed to the flash of light. He finally managed to make his way home. He uses his drawing pencil to communicate to later generations the tragic sights he saw along the way. |
