| Situation | I was exposed to the atomic bomb while in Sakacho where I was in order to board an army kamikaze (suicide pilot) aircraft carrier. While returning to my home in Kusunokicho, I saw some horrendous scenes. My house had been destroyed, but my mother and siblings had safely fled to a bamboo grove. Afterwards, I walked around searching for father who had been performing labor service, and after a few days of searching, I finally found his corpse. |
