Departed for Hiroshima on the morning of August 6 to deliver a letter from Kamo-gun, the site of student mobilization work, to the alma mater in Hiroshima City. The train stopped on the way at Seno Station, and from there he walked in the direction of his home. On the way, he saw the sight of Hiroshima City after the dropping of the atomic bomb. His family members were injured but alive. A number of his classmates died in the bombing, and it was difficult meeting with their families. |
