I was exposed to the bomb in Kakomachi. I had fallen into a gutter by the side of the road and I was covered by debris. I managed to get free but I couldn't see anything for a while. When I was able to see again, the city had been smashed and I could see into the distance. While I was fleeing to Kabe, I met a girl of 14 or 15 years old who asked me to help her, so we fled together. Along the way, I gave her some money and we separated. Later, I received a letter from her saying that she managed to find her mother. I could not send her a reply because I was suffering from after-effects. |
