Situation |
On that day, I had been left at my uncle's house in Sendamachi and was playing outside with my aunt when I was exposed to the atomic bomb. That night, I was able to get to the home of another uncle who lived in Ujina 13-chome. There, I saw my grandmother and cousin who stayed inside mosquito netting suffering from burn wounds. A while after that, I was told that my mother had passed away. My father had also been killed in the war. I lived, after that, with a feeling of loneliness having lost my parents to the war, and I suffered from various after-effects such as vomiting. |
