Situation |
I was commuting every day from my relatives house in Ushita to a factory in Funairi-Kawaguchicho where I worked under student mobilization. I was exposed to the atomic bomb in this factory. I was working in a space with no walls, so my body was exposed to the heat rays and blast, resulting in me suffering severe burns. My friends and I fled through Koi, Yokogawa and Hakushima until reaching my relative's house in Ushita. My family came to get me on the night of the 8th and I went home with them to Kurahashi. Afterwards, I became a member of the "Hiroshima-no-Kai", a group that has been successful in making atomic bomb exhibits while members still suffer from the after-effects of the atomic bomb even today, and also participate in giving talks about the subject. |
