| Situation |
I was exposed to the atomic bomb while on my way together with my friends to the branch school of a primary school near my house. My friends and older schoolmates suffered severe burns but luckily I was not injured. Even though I was caught in the black rain, I managed to get to the evacuation site decided upon by my family and be reunited with them. We spent a few days just waiting beside the river. We watched an endless amount of dead bodies floating down the river right in front of us. I can still hear the wailing of a baby still on the back of his deceased mother. |
