Situation |
I was working every day in a neighborhood knitting mill under student mobilization. I was working when there was sudden flash of light and a loud sound, making me feel worried. On the 10th, I received an order to go to Hiroshima and help with relief efforts. I entered Hiroshima on the 11th with my friends. The disastrous scenes left me speechless. Until the war ended, I continued providing nursing care, during which time I saw a great amount of persons pass away. After returning to Yachiyo, I suffered some after-effects of exposure to radiation. |
