Situation |
I was preparing a room to be rented out to a neighbor when I was exposed to the atomic bomb. I was injured by glass splinters piercing the soles of my feet. My daughter and mother had suffered injuries to the head, feet and other parts but when I took them to a nearby first aid station, there was a line of persons who looked to be even more terribly injured. When we returned home, I looked through the binoculars to see a great number of injured persons fleeing from Hiroshima City and going towards the west. At night, you could see the city burning bright red. For a while afterwards, bodies were cremated all over the place. |
