Situation I was returning home from where I had been evacuated in order to arrange my belongings. I hear the sound of aircraft and was exposed to the atomic bomb just as I looked up to the sky just outside the entranceway. I immediately fled back inside and was only slightly injured. I saw a great amount of persons at the Hijiyama first aid station and other places who had suffered severe burns. I camped out while watching the fires burn the city under the night sky. Looking at the city after the war ended, one could literally only see a burnt field for as far as the eye could see, all the way to Koi and Ujina from Hiroshima Station.
