Situation |
My daily duties consisted of helping teachers in the teachers' staff room. I was on my way to school just as always when I was exposed to the atomic bomb in front of the school gates. Although I had been injured in the head, I struggled to make it to the evacuation site decided upon by my family. I was reunited with my family, who were all safe, but a few days later my father and older sister passed away. I cremated both of them with my own hands. My mother was quite weak but managed to recover and live to be 99 years old. I write little bit every day about my feelings for my mother who suffered a great many hardships in her life. |
