I had left my aunt's house in Minamimachi to go to work by the streetcar as I normally did. When we were near Komachi, the streetcar suddenly shook and I became trapped under a large amount of persons. When I managed to free myself from the debris, the world surrounding me was devoid of color and sound. I thought I had come to the world of the afterlife due to a streetcar accident. I met up with my aunt who had suffered severe burns and we fled to Ujina. My aunt passed away on August 12 in spite of receiving medical care. |
