Situation |
I was chatting with friends in the classroom on the second floor of our school when I was exposed to the atomic bomb. I was blinded by the flash and felt a pain as if my skull had been suddenly bludgeoned with a big hammer. I lost consciousness and fell down. Later I headed to Yamagata County where my home was. All over the city, sights of people perishing in pain could be seen. The atomic bombing cut a deep wound in my 16-year-old heart, a wound that has still not healed. |
