Situation |
I was doing self-study at school when I was exposed to the atomic bomb. When I crawled out of the caved-in school building, the surroundings were pitch black and the sun looked like it had been eclipsed. Nine-tenths of my schoolmates lost their lives within a month of the atomic bombing. Later, people in the other tenth kept dying from radiation disease. After the war I became a physician. Having conducted examinations on many atomic bomb survivors, I have seen the dreadfulness of radiation. (Dr. Yorita’s homepage is at http://ww2.enjoy.ne.jp/~yorita/.) |
