Situation |
I had been called up and gone to Kochi Prefecture with the 11th Regiment. On the 15th I entered the city. I went to my aunt’s house in Sarugakucho and gathered up her remains, clad in a loincloth. Because of that, I was affected by the radiation, and I realized that my gums were bleeding. A pregnant woman seemed to have remained healthy after the atomic bombing, but after a week she passed away. |
