Situation |
I was working at the Ujina Shipyard as a member of the Women’s Volunteer Corps when I was exposed to the atomic bomb. The air-raid warning had sounded and I had gotten into an air-raid shelter, but then the all-clear was given. After that, the B-29s came and I saw the atomic bomb drop. I immediately got deep inside the air-raid shelter, but nonetheless the terrible blast struck me in the face. On coming out of the air-raid shelter I saw the mushroom cloud. |
