Situation 29 years old at the time.Mr. Masuda was working as a teacher at the Municipal 1st National Elementary School together with students in building demolition work when the atomic bomb was dropped. Three months later, he painted an oil painting of the devastated city of Hiroshima, called ‘Ruins’, and since that time has created many A-bomb Drawings. One-third of the 150 students who were involved in building demolition work on the west side of Hijiyama Bridge, 1.6km from the hypocenter, lost their lives in the bombing.
