| Description | Artist: Hirosuke Yokota <Artist’s comments> Even as a child, I clearly remember how bizarre the people who escaped from the city center appeared. Everyone was all black from soot, with strangely gleaming eyes that seemed to pop out of their heads, and had both arms extended in front of them like ghosts. From the open gaps I heard their weak voices asking, “Water please, water.” |
