Description | Hoisting a flag of “Reconstruction” Drawn by Yoshiro Obara Donated by Keiko Obara August 1945 Approx. 900m from the hypocenter Yokobori-cho (now, Eno-machi) Tomojiro Obara, the artist's father, found his factory at home turned into a burned field. The factory, which Tomojiro had expanded after years of hard work, was reduced to nothing but a burned safe. Losing his youngest son and sustaining serious injuries himself, Tomojiro hoisted this flag in the hope that his surviving sons would re-establish his factory at the site. |
