[Notes from the artist]
Approaching the Eastern Drill Ground, my mother said an enemy plane was coming and rushed us into a bomb shelter. There was little light inside and there was muddy water up to my knees. The narrow space was packed with burn victims. I was scared to death. From the shelter, the city was a sea of raging fire.
