Description | A relief station set up in a factory at the foot of the bridge Drawing / Kiyono Chiku 1945 Near Taisho Bridge Approx. 2,000m from the hypocenter The riverbanks were overflowing with people escaping the flames. At the foot of Taisho Bridge, a temporary relief station was set up and the injured were laid out in a line. Relief teams from other prefectures brought in rice balls and hard tack, distributing it to the injured. Many died unable to eat it. |
