| Description | Given a rice ball August 7, 1945, around 1:20 pm Hiroshi Hara (13 at time of bombing, 70 at time of drawing) [Notes from the artist] When I arrived at the base of Hijiyama Hill, there was a group of women wearing sashes that read "national defense women's association" handing out emergency rations of rice balls to victims. I recieved one as well, but lost my appetite at the smell of burning corpses. |
