It was right before starting out work that I suddenly heard the roar of the B-29, I looked up and said, "Ah, it's a B-29." In the next instant, there were yellowish-white heat rays. I set off running. After four or five seconds, there a violent blast. We were lucky because the machinery stopped the building from completely collapsing on top of us. Crawling away from the building, the first people I met were some students from the First Municipal Girls High School. There was so much dust that visibility was nearly zero. |
