Explanation in picture
The half-destroyed streetcar was knocked off the rail and tilted toward City Hall. Nearby a man covered in blood must have died instantly. A horse lay hairless, both mane and tail burned off. Unbelievably, the driver was burned completely black but remained erect. I can never forget the pitiful sight of that man.
