Description | Family members fanning the injured 1,300m from the hypocenter, along the river in front of Yokogawa Bridge (Tera-machi) August 8, 1945 Testuzo Mori (32 at the time of the bombing, 62 when he drew this picture) Explanation in picture On my way to Uchikoshi, I saw a line of injured victims on the riverbank in front of Yokogawa Bridge. Some were being fanned by family members. All around smoke was still rising, and I could see nothing but the road. They were all lying on straw mats. |
