Description | Heading for home through the sea of fire Around 6 PM, August 6, 1945 1,650 m from the hypocenter Near Tsurumi Bridge Drawn by Michitsuji Yoshiko (19 at time of bombing, 48 at time of drawing) Along both sides of the road were temples, which were already on fire. That was the only way for me to go back home. I wet my clothes in the water of a fire cistern and put it on. I desperately ran through the road that was about 100 m long.
