Explanation in picture
The air-raid warning was cleared, but in the backyard of our house I heard the roar of a B29. "What?" I looked up at the sky but saw no B29. Looking all around, I saw something strange. A ball of fire like a baseball was gradually growing larger. About the time it was the size of a volleyball, something fell on my head. Only then did I think it was a bomb. I fell on the ground face down.
