Description Second Army Headquarters and Nigitsu Shrine seen from Futabayama Hill. All inner city districts from the other side of Hiroshima Castle to Shukkeien Garden were a sea of fire. Survivors were lined up from Hakushima to the Eastern Drill Ground. People had fallen from the bridge and were being washed down the river. Many collapsed and died almost naked.
