| Description | Aioi Bridge rain gutter Location: Central part of Aioi Bridge Distance from hypocenter: approx. 300m This rain gutter is thought to have been thrown when the bridge received the shock wave. The streetcar rail on the west end was displaced and required immediate repair. The streetcar line between Hatchobori and Koi reopened on September 7; the line between Yamaguchi-cho (now, Kanayama-cho) and Koi on October 1. |
