| Description | Yuriko Kodani (then, 10) was exposed at the home of her grandfather, Saichi Tanaka. Her whole body was pierced by glass fragments. She crawled out of the collapsed house and fled with her mother, Ayako (then, 35), and younger sister, Kimiko (then, 10 months). Flames engulfed the house, killing Saichi. Kimiko died from her severe injuries on August 16. This glass fragment was extracted from Yuriko's body around 1958 or 1959. |
