The blast of the atomic bomb shifted the roof of a house and cre-ated a gap between the roof and a white wall.It was through this gap that black rain entered the house.The black rain was a sticky substance and consequently it left distinct black marks on the white wall.In order to research the presence of residual radioactivity in the black rain,in 1985 Dr. Okano and others at the Institute of physical and Chemical Research took photographs of it with film.They discovered that the part covered with black rain exposed black on the film. This proved that there were traces of radioactivity. |
