| Description | This stone lantern was placed in a courtyard of donor's parents' house at the time of the bombing. Yaeko's younger sister, Satoko (then, 17) was exposed to the bomb at their parents' house. Her father Tadaji found Satoko's body in the burnt ruins of their house the next day. Perhaps because of the bomb, a piece of the granite fell off leaving a black mark on the lantern. |
