| Description | Fountain Spout Donated by Kosaku Yamada 160 m from the hypocenter; Sarugaku-cho (now, Ote-machi 1-chome) This is the spout of the fountain that was in the courtyard of the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall (now, A-bomb Dome). In 1945, the Promotion Hall was divided into branch offices for the Chugoku-Shikoku Public Works Office, the Hiroshima District Lumber Control Corporation and other control corporations. The building was completely burned by the A-bombing; everyone in it died immediately. |
