| Description | The donor's older brother Tetsuo Kobayashi (then, 17) was exposed at work. On his own strength, he got to a relative's home and received care. The family learned where he was, but his mother Hisako had been exposed on her way to her building demolition work site and returned home with serious burns. The family was so busy caring for her, they could not go visit her son. At the news of the war’s end on August 15, Tetsuo's strength left him. He died the next day. |
