Description | Donated by Tadao Komoto Junior high student's jacket and wallet Approx. 700 m from the hypocenter, Nakajima-shin-machi (now, Nakajima-cho) Kajio Komoto (then, 12), a first-year student at Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial School, was a mobilized student exposed to the A-bomb at his building demolition worksite. His older brother Tadao searched for him through the city. Around the third day, he found the jacket of his student uniform near the worksite, but no sign of Kajio. About two months later, his ashes and this wallet were sent to his home from Ninoshima. |
