| Description | The donor's father, Seiichi Shinoda (then, 67), was exposed to the bomb at home with his wife, Kazue (then, 52), and other family members. His aunt, who lived in the same house, was killed, but other family members managed to escape from the house and take shelter. One week after the bombing, Seiichi found this favorite pocket watch in the burned-out ruins of his house. The watch had turned darker, and the lid and chain were missing. |
