| Description | Pocket watch used to identify a victim Donated by Ryo Sugiyama and Miyuki Morikawa Approx. 300m from the hypocenter Kawaya-cho (now, Hondori) Ryo and Miyuki's father, Iwao (then, 54), was exposed at the bank where he worked. Miyuki (then, 25) began searching the city the next day. Some days later, in the rubble of the bank, she found her father’s body, charred black in the lower torso. Miyuki gathered pieces of wood and cremated his body. |
