Description | Chiyoko Nakata (then, 29), the donor's younger sister, was exposed to the bomb at home. Masako, the donor, was evacuated the day before and could safely escape the A-bombing. The day after the bombing, in order to look for Chiyoko, she returned home carrying water and tomatoes with her. There, she learned that her home had burned down, and found Chiyoko's ashes and this wristwatch. |
