| Description | Kikumi Yokotani was exposed to the bomb at home with her son, Yasumasa (then, 11 months). Kikumi's father, Kurataro Orita entered the city the next day searching for Kikumi and Yasumasa. He found their bones in the burnt ruins. Kikumi must have instantly reached to protect Yasumasa, whose small bones were found under hers. Kurataro brought their remains home along with this iron kettle he found nearby. |
