| Description | Rice pot 600 m from the hypocenter Sorazaya-cho Donated by Tomo Nitta Tomo found this rice pot in the burned ruins of her home. The pot was originally filled with water, but rice bowls inside were charred. Tomo’s husband Motokichi (40) was exposed to the bombing at the nearest shrine while engaging in building demolition work. He managed to reach his family’s evacuation site but was unable to eat due to the pain in his throat. He died on August 11. (2019 Main Building) |
