Description | Lunchbox Anonymous donation Approx.260m from the hypocenter Moto-machi Teruko (then, 18) was exposed to the A-bombing when she was at her workplace at the Hiroshima Prefectural Commerce Association. Her brother and other people, living in the suburbs, entered the city to look for her but the burned workplace was still too hot to get in. They continued to search for Teruko every day, but could not find her. About one week later, her lunchbox was found in the remains of the burned-down building. Regarding it as her memento, her family held a funeral ceremony for her. |
