Donated by Eiji Sasaki
Approx. 1,500m from the hypocenter Yokogawa-cho
Mr. Eiji Sasaki was demobilized and sent home in 1947. His house had been burned to ashes. Together with his father Keijiro, mother Masa, and elder brother Shoso, he lived in a hut which they had built at the site where their house used to be. This sake bottle was found by Eiji in the garden of their completely burned house. Storing the item in a drawer of his family Buddhist altar, he preserved it with considerable care until he died.
