Description Toshio Honda (then, 36) lived in a family of eight. Five were exposed to the bomb at their home and died. Prior to the war, Toshio ran a store that sold specialty products of Hiroshima with his siblings, but this store was lost to the bomb. Toshio gathered four boxes of deformed objects from the ruins of his house. He considered throwing them away many times, but respect for those who died prevented him from doing so. On the 50th anniversary of the bombing, he donated all the objects to the museum.
