| Description | Hanging scroll dampened by black rain Donated by Katashi Taniguchi 2,400m from the hypocenter Koi-higashi-naka-machi (now, Koi-naka 2-chome) The donor Katashi Taniguchi (then, 16), experienced the atomic bombing at Kan-on where he was working as a mobilized student. When he returned to his home in Koi, the roof of the house had been completely blown away by the blast and only the pillars were remaining. The black rain falling left marks on this hanging scroll, which was in a room of the house. |
