Donated by Haruo Osaki
Itaro Osaki (51) was exposed to the bombing on a train on his way to work at the head office of Geibi Bank.
Informed of his whereabouts three days later, his wife rushed to the Red Cross Hospital, and found Itaro with five or six glass fragments the size of each a soybean on his neck. He was groaning on a bed.
At around 4:00 a.m. on August 14, he died at home with his family by his side.
Itaro always had this badge and this seal in a pocket of his jacket.
