Description | Seal Naotsuchi and Toshiko Matsushige were exposed and killed at home in Tate-machi. Because their son Tetsuo (then, 22) was a conscript stationed in Okinawa, Tetsuo´s uncle came to Hiroshima a week later to search for them. He found their remains buried in the rubble near where the dining table stood. He also found the family safe, which contained this seal. It was warped by the intense heat, but the name "Naotsuchi Matsushige" is still legible. |
