| Description | Chest of drawers Kikue Suenaga's mother-in-law Misao, was exposed while demolishing buildings near Koami-cho as a member of the Volunteer Citizen Corps. Her remains were never found. After the war, Kikue's husband Masaki treasured this chest, burned on a drawer, as a remembrance of her. (from the donor’s comments) My husband treasured this chest and brought it along every time we moved. He died in May 2005. I am getting older myself and decided to donate it because it will be difficult for me to store it. |
