| Description | Folding Screen Donated by Yozo Kasuya 2,600 m from the hypocenter; Koi-higashi-naka-machi (now, Koi-naka 2-chome) This screen was exposed on the second floor of Yozo Kasuya's home. Because it was summer, all the windows were open. Countless pieces of glass and rock pierced the back of this screen. Yozo's older brother Takao (12), a first-year student at Sanyo Junior High School, had been mobilized to help demolish buildings. He was exposed at his work site and never found. |
